I think I was always destined to be a designer. From a young age you could often find me reimagining or redesigning a space. Choosing new wall paper or paint colors, selecting different decor pieces and rearranging furniture, that was my happy place.

I believe design has the ability to affect the way we live every facet of our life. It creates an emotion within our living space that impacts all the other areas from our wellbeing, to family life and the balance we strike with our work.

I am Carly Harper and together with my husband Vince Dangerfield and our two young boys Bodhi & Koa, we are HARFIELD INTERIORS. In 2018 I took a leap of faith and listened to my heart when I opened our business. Throughout our evolution as a brand and serendipitous events, my first design clients literally came knocking on our door while we were living at Predator Ridge, new residents in the neighbourhood came to buy a coffee table from us! Through conversation that very night, it just so happened they were looking for a designer to help them with their new home.

As fate would have it, that designer ended up being me and suddenly there I was, I had arrived at my first full scale project and my lifelong dream was suddenly my reality.

I had dreamt of going off to interior design school when I graduated but math had always been a struggle for me. I told myself a lie that I could never do it, so I took many roads off course from my true calling, but I kept getting guided back to my biggest passion of creating beautiful spaces. I am beyond grateful everyday that I get to do what I love so deeply and it is my greatest joy to see my clients happy in their homes and spaces they spend time in.

Outside of my work I am a lifelong competitive equestrian and dressage rider as well as a former 2011/2012 Canadian National Women's Triathlon Team Member and ITU World Champion Triathlete.

I strive for excellence in everything that I do and push boundaries to overcome obstacles and reach for greatness.

Thank you for visiting and we hope to see you soon.
